DOMA's Edith Windsor: Marriage Is A Magic Word

    Edith Windsor won a landmark Supreme Court case on Wednesday that dismissed the Defense of Marriage Act as unconstitutional. Windsor fought DOMA, which defined marriage as strictly between a man and a woman, after her partner of 40 years died and she was denied the same benefits as a married woman. In her remarks on the Supreme Court steps, Windsor explains how the ruling means so much more to her than that.
