Selena Quintanilla Is Getting A Wax Figure At Madame Tussauds And It's Gonna Be Awesome

    BRB! Going to Hollywood!

On Monday, Madame Tussauds Hollywood announced they would be creating a wax figure of the late Tejano icon Selena Quintanilla.

The wax figure is set to be unveiled to the public on August 30 in Hollywood.

Madame Tussauds is working closely with the Quintanilla family to nail down the pose and expression, as well as wardrobe, makeup, and hairstyle.

Maddam Tussauds also paid a visit to The Selena Museum in Corpus Christi, Texas.

“This is yet another step in making sure that her legacy lives on and that her fans new and old can appreciate her as a person, an artist, and one whom we can all identify with,” said Suzette Arriaga, Selena's sister.

The decision to create the statue comes at the heels of a Change.org petition, which was signed by nearly 10,000 people.

Besides getting her own wax figure, Selena is getting her own MAC makeup line this October, and she's also receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017.

In other words, the "Queen of Tejano" is still slaying after all these years.
