Here's Everything That Happened When The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Ladies Appeared On "One Day At A Time"

Brooklyn Nine-Nine + One Day At A Time + Gloria Estefan = pure perfection

Netflix's One Day At A Time returned this week with their best season to date.

For those who don't know, One Day At A Time follows a Cuban-American family as they deal with life's every day problems. From new relationships to family struggles, the show has been hailed as one of the best comedies on TV right now.

The new season began when Tía Ophelia suddenly died, causing the family to gather together for her funeral and confront old family feuds.

Enter Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Melissa Fumero and Stephanie Beatriz alongside the legendary Gloria Estefan. A trifecta of incredible Latinx talent.

Gloria Estefan played Mirtha, Lydia's estranged sister who believes Lydia stole the priceless family wedding veil, the mantilla.

Melissa Fumero played Estrellita, Mirtha's daughter and Penelope's BFF.

And finally, Stephanie Beatriz played Pilar, a Tía who Elena thinks is gay just like her.

While Lydia and Mirtha dealt with their issues, it gave Penelope and Estrellita a chance to rekindle their friendship and it was amazing.

The comedic moments between Justina Machado and Melissa Fumero were perfection, but the episode also allowed Penelope to tell Estrellita how much she has meant to her all these years.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Beatriz's Pilar was an essential role-model for Elena to have after everything she's been through with her own coming out story in Seasons 1 and 2.

Pilar coming out to Elena and the two of them bonding was a flawless example of how One Day At A Time incorporates humor with moments of pure heart.

While the episode itself was one of the show's best, the behind-the-scenes moments between Stephanie, Melissa, Gloria, and the entire cast only made me love it even more.

Basically, Brooklyn Nine-Nine + One Day At A Time + Gloria Estefan = pure perfection.
