23 Actors Who Adorably Stay In Touch With The Children They Acted Alongside In These Movies And Shows

    Catherine O'Hara ran into Macaulay Culkin 20 years after starring together in Home Alone, and he simply screamed, "Mommy," and ran into her arms for a hug.

    1. First, Melanie Lynskey recently revealed that she's "still in touch" with two of the children who played her kids in Sweet Home Alabama in 2002. "They're very cute, very sweet kids," she said. Reflecting on filming the iconic "baby in a bar" scene from the film, Melanie said, "I remember [the scene] very well because I was 21, I think, or 22. I did not have any babies at that time, and I had these five children that I was wrangling. They were so sweet."

    2. Angela Bassett has seen Keke Palmer a few times over the years after they starred in Akeelah and the Bee together in 2006. In fact, Keke and Angela recently reunited in person for the first time in a while. Keke adorably called Angela "my mama" and even mentioned how the internet is obsessed with her impression of Angela.

    3. Sofía Vergara is consistently in touch with Rico Rodriguez. After starring together as Gloria and Manny on Modern Family for 11 seasons, they've reunited a few times, but most recently was when Rico surprised Sofía on an episode of America's Got Talent. According to Rico, this moment was incredibly special because they hadn't seen each other IRL in almost two years.

    4. And since Modern Family aired its series finale in 2020, Jesse Tyler Ferguson has remained in Aubrey Anderson-Emmons' life. The duo, who starred as Mitch and Lily, recently reunited in 2022 when they attended a performance of Everybody's Talking About Jamie together.

The duo, who starred in Home Alone together in 1990, hadn't seen each other for a few years at this point. "He was coming out and he went, 'Mommy!' And I went, 'Baby!,'" Catherine recalled.

    6. William Daniels reunited with Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel, and Will Friedle on a recent episode of the Boy Meets World podcast Pod Meets World. In the episode, he talked about what it was like working with them at such a young age. "You all were young and having fun and I was much more serious," he said. "I would hang out in my dressing room away from you all as you fooled around for the camera. You guys were having a ball."

    7. Up until his death in 2014, Robin Williams remained very close with Mara Wilson, who played his daughter Natalie in Mrs. Doubtfire in 1993. Tributing the late actor, Mara said she thought of Robin as an uncle and described him as "warm, gentle, expressive, nurturing, and brilliant." They ran into each other throughout the years, most notably for a table read for the 1998 film What Dreams May Come and while he was filming August Rush in 2007, and Mara said he always made sure to ask how she was doing.

    8. Jamie Lee Curtis has reunited with Anna Chlumsky a few times since the duo starred in My Girl together in 1991. On the Emmy Awards red carpet in 2015, Jamie and Anna shared a sweet moment where Anna revealed that Jamie "taught me everything I know."

    9. Jodie Foster and Kristen Stewart have kept in touch after they starred as Meg and Sarah in 2002's Panic Room. Kristen actually tributed Jodie when she got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016. "She was my first adult friend that was mine," Kristen said. "Of all the examples I could've had of an actress and a female artist, and a figurehead of a production, I had her."

    10. On the One Tree Hill podcast Drama Queens, Hilarie Burton has talked about how she's kept in touch with Grace Holcomb, who played Jenny, Jake's daughter, on the show. The duo have reunited a few times at various One Tree Hill conventions, and Hilarie says she's kept up on Grace's life. She's currently attending UNC Greensboro and plays golf.

    11. And Antwon Tanner, who played Skills on One Tree Hill, has remained close friends with Jackson Brundage, who played Jamie Scott. While on an episode of the Drama Queens podcast, Antwon talked about staying in touch with his One Tree Hill costars and how it has been amazing to watch Jackson grow up.

    12. Lana Parilla has kept in touch with Jared Gilmore throughout the years. The duo starred on Once Upon a Time together as Regina and Henry Mills. Speaking about her relationship with Jared in 2017, Lana said, "I always felt like Jared’s second mom, and I think his mother can even attest to that. I’m very close to the people that I end up working with." Then, in 2022, Lana revealed at a fan convention that she and Jared still have a "very special bond" and it has been "a trip" to watch him grow up.

    13. Jon Hamm has continued to support Kiernan Shipka since they finished filming Mad Men together in 2015. The duo have reunited several times throughout the years. Speaking about Jon in 2022, Kiernan said he was always the "most protective" of her while on set. "He would say, 'Kid on deck,' whenever I was around. That way, everyone cut the profanities," she recalled.

    14. Brie Larson has kept in touch with her former costar Jacob Tremblay, who starred as her son in 2015's Room. The duo have found time to hang out over the years, and Jacob recently appeared on Brie's podcast Learning Lots, where she told him that he's still "one of the greatest scene partners" she's ever had in her career.

    15. After they starred as Lucius and Draco Malfoy together in the Harry Potter films, Jason Isaacs has been a constant in Tom Felton's life. They regularly reunite, and in the recent Harry Potter 20th anniversary reunion special, they discussed their bond with each other and what it was like meeting on set. "I adored Tom from the second I met him," Jason said. "He was just the biggest sweetheart."

    16. Julie Andrews has kept in touch with the Von Trapp children from The Sound of Music. The film, which premiered in 1965, "bonded" the cast and made them a real family. "We do keep in touch, but not on a really regular basis," Julie said. "I mean, Christmases, maybe birthdays, and certainly get-togethers, but we just bonded so hard that I think we're family anyway."

    17. Sam Jaeger has stayed in touch with Xolo Maridueña since Parenthood wrapped in 2015. Xolo, who played Sam's son Victor on the hit drama series, revealed that he and Sam lived near each other for a long time and they would see each other on a "regular basis." Meanwhile, Xolo said he has heard from Erika Christensen, who played his mom, since filming Parenthood too.

    18. On an episode of Armchair Expert in 2022, Dax Shepard said that he frequently kept in touch with Jonah Bobo, who played Danny in Zathura, after they finished filming in 2005. "I stayed in touch with his mother because I had this affinity for him," Dax said. "His shit was brilliant." Dax recalled that he's visited Jonah and his family a few times throughout the years, even after Jonah took a break from acting.

    19. Adam Sandler reconnected with Cole Sprouse in early 2021 when Cole attended the premiere of Uncut Gems. The duo starred together in Big Daddy in 1999, where Cole shared the role of Julian with his brother Dylan Sprouse. "We spent like an hour and a half at the [Uncut Gems] afterparty at the premiere just kind of geeking out about Big Daddy and what it was to film that when I was 6," Cole recalled.

    20. Naomi Watts has kept in close contact with Tom Holland since they starred as mother and son in 2012's The Impossible. "I always knew that Tom would go on and have a pretty outstanding career," Naomi said in 2022. "This was a kid who was doing his first movie, had unbelievable access to emotions, had great discipline and whether or not that comes from his dance and athletic background, I don't know, but he had a really great family too." Naomi and Tom recently reunited in 2022 when Tom was spotted having lunch with Naomi and her family.

    21. Jeff Bridges has caught up with Hailee Steinfeld a few times since they starred in True Grit together in 2010 when Hailee was just 14 years old. At the time of filming, Hailee recalled that she "cried [her] eyes out on the last day of shooting" because she thought she'd never see Jeff or Matt Damon again. Hailee said, "They were like, 'Kid, it's just the beginning,' meaning, 'We're gonna see so much of you, you're gonna be sick of us.'" And it looks like they've kept their promise.

    22. Bonnie Hunt has kept in touch with Alyson Stoner and Kevin Schmidt, who played her kids Sarah and Henry Baker in 2003's Cheaper by the Dozen. In 2009, Alyson and Kevin appeared on Bonnie's talk show, then in 2017, the trio posted about going out to dinner together for the first time in "a long time." All three of them also took part in a Cheaper by the Dozen virtual reunion in 2020 when the cast re-created some scenes from the film.

    23. And finally, up until his death, Bob Saget remained close with his Full House children. Recently, Jodie Sweetin revealed how Bob helped her through some of the more difficult moments in her life after Full House ended. "One of the things I learned from Bob and, you know, even now in having to walk through his death and everything, is how to laugh through some of the most painful moments of your life," she said. "It's something that carried me through so many times and so many things in my life."
