8 Ways To Save Money Without Giving Up Fun

How exactly do I save money without turning into a homebody that only goes out once a month? Here are 8 ways to keep it socially and fiscally responsible.

1. Don't waste money on things you don't love.

Whether you are buying a car or a pair of shoes, don't buy it unless it speaks to you. Sustain yourself with things you love instead of a continual line of things you sort of like that are cheap. All those cheap things will cost you more money in the end.

2. Don't take your wallet with you.

Not having your wallet takes away all the temptation of spending money you don't have on something you don't need. If all your friends are going to grab a beer and you know you have dinner waiting for you at home, go with them but only bring money for one beer. Not having any more money will stop you from buying dinner, then another beer, then dessert.

3. Plan your weekly indulgences.

Know that once a week you can go out to eat with friends and spend $40 on whatever you want! Knowing that you have an outlet to make yourself feel less like a poor person will keep you from spending the money sooner.
