2. The sound where you're playing is usually horrible

You're usually stuck with a "sound guy" that has no clue what he's doing, or just doesn't care to make the effort.

3. You know way too much information about your bandmates

4. Your mom is your #1 fan

No matter what you can always count on her to be snapping pics of the band with her pink iphone case shining in the crowd

5. You have to carry all your own shit

Starting out = no money = no help = fml

6. You engage in the most tedious forms of social media promotion on the reg

"Hey do you think this is funny enough to post on the band account or nah?"

7. You've had at least one pretty awkward photo-shoot

Band pics can take you back to those family Christmas card days (just with a lot more black)

8. You've gotten booked on a show with a completely different genre than yours
