3. Promise Me, Dad by Joe Biden

marissapena93

Get it on Amazon for $10.95+, Barnes & Noble for $11.16+, or a local bookseller through IndieBound here.

10. Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham

Penguin Random House

"It's not only one of the best memoirs I've ever read, but also one of the best books I've read. She's super real, raw, and funny. Her writing style makes it seem like you're having a conversation with her rather than just reading text. It made me love her even more."

11. Binge by Tyler Oakley

Simon & Schuster

"It's not only a comedic masterpiece, but a beautifully written story about coming out, self-love, acceptance, and how making mistakes helps you grow as a person. He puts a lot of himself into the book and that makes the reading experience feel very genuine. You feel like you're sitting down and having a true heart-to-heart with him, which makes it feel very intimate and personal."

17. And finally, Hunger by Roxane Gay

Harper Collins

"I relate to it so deeply. It helped me take steps to address my mental health and sort out some things about myself in a way I hadn’t thought of before. I also love the way it isn't a story about a before and after, but rather an ongoing journey. Her writing is astute, clear, and intelligent, without being inaccessible. As a bonus — I listened to it in audio form, which she reads herself, and her voice is so calm and soothing. I love everything about it!
