A 15-Year-Old Crushes Gender Roles In One Amazing Video

A simple, yet powerful message from a teenager from Dallas has appeared on YouTube last week. With over 150,000 views and shares on social media, the video gains popularity day by day.

Benny aka Ben J. Pierce is a young actor, singer-songwriter, and youtuber from Dallas that is relatively new to the on-line community. With only 20,000 subscribers on his main YouTube channel, KidPov, he has won the hearts of many Tumblr and Twitter users last week with his new video, "Little Game".

"Don't you think it's funny how they tell us how to live?", Benny asks in his song that is accompanied by a powerful video featuring stereotypical blue and pink colors as the symbols of how rigid the gender roles tend to be in everyday life.

"Relentlessly confined into living up to gender roles and having absent minds." Pierce calls out the society's need to divide behaviours and objects into those appropriate for girls and boys. He also touches upon the subject of bullying and physical abuse connected with not fitting into the system.

Needless to say, people give nothing, but positive feedback.

With the recent videos such as Troye Sivan's "Becoming You" or Hannah Hart's "Coming Out Chapters", "Little Game" falls into the YouTube trend of promoting individuality and body positivity. This also seems to be one of the main reasons as to why people like Benny's video so much.

Even Tyler Oakley, the king on YouTube, was highly impressed!
