The East Village is an historically artistic and welcoming neighborhood. It's a little grungy, but only in the best possible way. Today the East Village is home to cool restaurants, chill coffee shops, and lots of basement concert venues, which support its community-spirited daytime vibe and its crazy nightlife.

The Upper East Side is one of the nicest neighborhoods in New York City. Home to the Met Museum and little Eloise over at the Plaza Hotel, the UES is filled with art and culture. Bordered by Central Park, the UES is famed for it's open space, luxuriant shops, and grand old buildings.

Bushwick is the newest up and coming neighborhood in New York, and it's still caught somewhere between industrial warehouses and trendy lofts. The inhabitants here are young, creative, and clothed in consignment. There's plenty of cold brew, old-school graffiti, and artist studios to be found. Bushwick is not quite as polished as its super-hip neighbor, Williamsburg, but it's got all the charm and grit of a classic Brooklyn spot.

Park Slope is the most family friendly neighborhood in Brooklyn, and maybe in all of New York. It's a little quieter, a little more laid-back, and very pretty. Park Slope has a great view of Prospect Park and it's filled with old brownstones and flower gardens.

Harlem is a huge and diverse neighborhood spanning from one river to the other. Harlem is steeped in a rich history of music, art, and politically activism, which flavors the area. This is the place to be for earth-shaking soul food, jazz music, and some of the oldest and most beautiful churches in New York.

Hell's Kitchen is just off of New York's famous theatre district and it's filled with up and coming actors, writers, and other artists. This neighborhood has all the energy of mid town without the noise of Times Square. There are tons of restaurants and great nightlife, plus you are only a jump away from most of Manhattan.
