Trying a new hairstyle is scary to say the least. But what if you didn't just leave your hairstyle in the hands of a stylist...but also in the hands of your significant other? Well, we had one brave couple do just that, and things got real interesting, real fast:

Each partner told David Dang, a celebrity stylist, how they wanted their partner to look. Then, David transformed their hair according their partner’s directions without any input from the person being made-over.
Our brave couple was Jason and Cathy, a fun couple who wasn't afraid of adventure...which is good, because they were about to take a big risk.
Jason wanted to reflect Cathy's badass, unafraid spirit...
...so, he picked out a shorter style with a pop of color for Cathy.
The plan was pretty drastic:
Cathy knew that a big part of Jason's identity was his long hair. So, she wanted to see him with a completely new look.
Cathy wanted to go with something more modern and take off a lot of Jason's original length.
While Jason wasn’t getting a dye job like Cathy, he was still in for a change:
The two had a little bit of cold feet during the actual process.
But ultimately, Cathy's final look made her look like a badass, worthy of her own Marvel movie.
And Jason looked sophisticated as fuck with his brand new do.
