    The Unofficial Zootopian DMV Is Open!

    A dedicated fan makes free digital souvenirs for anyone that asks. Now that you have your DVD, it's easy to add a customized souvenir to your Zootopia collection.

    Like most that have seen Disney’s box office hit Zootopia, Vanessa Moss left the theater in awe. In her words, “The movie was everything I had hoped for and more.” The movie was so impressive that she created a souvenir for herself – an unofficial Zootopia license similar those distributed as part of Disney promotional press kits.

    Inspired by the movie’s positive message and feeling the spirit of generosity, Vanessa decided to create customized Zootopia licenses for anyone that asked. One of the first to apply was Miss Bunz, a former rescue bunny who is known for sporting a "police" harness.

    Within a few days of opening the unofficial Zootopian DMV, Vanessa received over 200 requests. Realizing that she could not generate the licenses manually, she used her computer programming skills to automate the process. On her blog, the Sydney-based astronomer explains why she fired her sloths and replaced them with a team of koalas.

    Given the popularity of the unofficial Zootopia licenses, Vanessa now offers other souvenirs. Fans can request customized Zootopian Express train tickets as well as ZPD police badges. And later this month, Zootopian passports will also be available.

    To date, Vanessa has created over 4700 souvenirs for Zootopia fans around the world. Byron Howard, one of the movie's directors, took notice of Vanessa's generosity. As a token of his appreciation, he created an adorable koala character for the dedicated fan.
