What Color Lightsaber Should You Have?

It is perhaps the most famous from sci-fi and fantasy, the LIGHTSABER from STAR WARS. First appearing in 1977 in the film that was later retitled Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, at first all we saw were blue and red lightsabers, until 1983 when we saw Luke's new green lightsaber (which was so the audience would recognize that the lightsaber was different than his father's, and so the blade would stand out against the blue of the Tatooine sky) in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, 1983. Fast forward nineteen years when Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones came out, and Samuel L. Jackson requested that his character, Mace Windu, wield a purple lightsaber, adding another color to the on-screen repertoire, and yellow was added into the film. Various other colors have been featured in the numerous books and video games—which are no longer considered canon, with a few exceptions—, as well as the two television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2014) and Star Wars Rebels (2014-present).
