Every year within the UK the amount of pets which are obese is rising, it is roughly estimated that around 20% to 25% of cats are over-weight and about 30% to 35% of dogs are obese. Obese is where an animal’s weight is a lot higher than the ideal body weight with too much excess fat which wouldn’t happen in the wild alone and is a pet owners responsibility to feed the right amount of food while maintaining enough of exercise to avoid your pets becoming obese.
