Well, I thought that until I stumbled upon TikToker Sabrina Alease's fan theory video, which puts the whole Janis-Regina feud in a whole new light.
To sum up, as you probably know, Janis's hatred of Regina stems from Regina spreading a rumor that Janis was a lesbian.
But, at the end of the movie, Janis says that she's Lebanese.
Which could mean, in the words of Sabrina, "The whole premise of the movie was based on the fact that Regina didn't understand the difference between Lebanese and lesbian."
Excuse me???
After all, as Sabrina pointed out to BuzzFeed, this wouldn't be the only piece of media to pull a Lebanese/lesbian joke — Glee has done it!
