Of course, the soundtrack to Dune was done by none other than Hans Zimmer. As for the voice, it's likely actually the work of rhythm vocalist Loire Cotler, who recorded in her closet in Brooklyn and used inspirations from South Indian vocal percussion to John Coltrane’s saxophone.
“When you start to hybridize these far-flung influences and techniques, interesting sounds start to happen,” she told the New York Times. “It’s a vocal technique called ‘Hans Zimmer.’”
