HBO Max Is Rebooting "Pretty Little Liars," And A Lot Of People (Me) Should Be Scared

They better not change the theme song though...

HBO Max is all about reboots lately, and the latest show getting new life is none other than Pretty Little Liars.

The show, titled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, has already cast its first two liars: Chandler Kinney and Maia Reficco.

Set 20 years after the show's events in the "blue-collar town" of Millwood, the reboot will follow a brand-new group of liars who find themselves tormented by an anonymous Assailant. Their very own A will stop at nothing to make them pay — for both their parents’ sins and their own.

Somehow, the reboot will be "darker" than the original series.

You might recognize Chandler from the Disney Channel film Zombies 2. She's also been on shows such as Lethal Weapon, K.C. Undercover, and Girl Meets World.

And previously, Maia starred in Nickelodeon's Kally's Mashup and is currently filming the Netflix film Strangers.

Production is scheduled to begin in New York later this summer. Better lock those secrets in your pockets, folks.
