"At the end of the day, innocent lives pay for war — not leaders."

Gigi Hadid is one of the celebrities who's using her platform and financial standing to provide humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees who have been displaced by the ongoing invasion launched by Russia.

The 26-year-old model — who is currently working at Paris Fashion Week and walking runway shows by Versace and Vivienne Westwood — pledged to donate her earnings from the fall 2022 season to both Ukraine and Palestine.

"Having a set Fashion Month schedule has meant that my colleagues and I often present new fashion collections during heartbreaking and traumatic times in history," she began in a recent post on Instagram.

"We don’t have control over most of our work schedules, but we would like to walk 'for' something," she said, adding that she took inspiration from her friend, Argentinian model Mica Argañaraz.

"I am pledging to donate my earnings from the Fall 2022 shows to aid those suffering from the war in Ukraine, as well as continuing to support those experiencing the same in Palestine," Gigi continued.

She added, "Our eyes and hearts must be open to all human injustice. May we all see each other as brothers and sisters, beyond politics, beyond race, beyond religion. At the end of the day, innocent lives pay for war — not leaders."

Other celebrities who have pledged support to Ukraine include Mila Kunis — who is an emigrant from the country — and Ashton Kutcher.
