Hello Haim! The Sister Band That Is Taking Over Music In 2015

The girl band that EVERYONE should now in 2015

Haim (pronounced hy-əm), is a sister band that consists of Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, with Danielle being the lead singer, is one the hottest new bands in music this year. They will also be touring with Taylor Swift during her "1989" world concert tour beginning this summer. In addition to that, the trio was nominated for Best New Artist at this year's 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Haim's music is pop rock, soft rock and folk, with a mix of R&B and an electric feel. In addition to the main three sisters, the band also includes lesser-known drummer Dash Hutton.

The sisters began playing music when they were growing up, and first debuted as Haim in 2007. They then took a break from music together, as Danielle began touring with guitarist Jenny Lewis and The Storke frontman Julian Casablancas.

Thankfully, the girls resumed in 2012, with the release of their first EP, "Forever," which caught the attention of many and led to the widespread discovery of the group by the music business. Even though it was available for limited download, "Forever" landed them a deal with Polydor Records and a management deal with Jay-Z's Roc Nation.

While recording their first studio album, "Days Are Gone," Haim continued to tour, playing mostly festivals. After a year spent working on the album, "Days Are Gone" was finally released in 2013 and reached number one on the charts in the United Kingdom.

"Days Are Gone," features hit songs such as "The Wire," "Forever" and "Falling."

Haim also got the opportunity to perform on Saturday Night Live in 2013. Along with that, the group also received the backing from artists such as Mumford & Sons, Stevie Nicks, Taylor Swift and Phil Collins. This reception led to the band touring the United States from April 2014 to May 2014, playing shows all around the country.

Haim has also appeared on the original soundtrack of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I, as well as contributed their vocals to the track "Pray to God" on Calvin Harris' album "Motion." They have also collaborated with artists such as A$AP Ferg and Kid Cudi. Haim has toured with Mumford & Sons, as well as Florence and the Machine.

The band has hippy-chic hair, wears cool clothes and the girls have said that Beyoncé inspires them, and their sound has been compared to the popular 1970's band Fleetwood Mac.

For live performances, Este Haim plays bass, Danielle Haim plays lead guitar and sings lead vocals and Alana Haim plays rhythm guitar, along with keyboards and percussion. In addition to that, all three sisters contribute to the vocal harmony of each song.

Every song off of Haim's album "Days Are Gone," will have you bobbing your head and moving your body.

Haim has a refreshing sound that goes against the grain of popular music today. The beats are funky, old school, fun and upbeat. Danielle Haim's lead vocals make you feel like you are back in the 1970s, '80s or '90s, and combined with the talented guitar and drum playing, you cannot help but dance to this kooky sister band.

If you do not know Haim already, in 2015, you sure will.
