    The Face Of Heroin Addiction

Handsome, talented, popular, loved…..this is what today's heroin addicts look like. It used to be we thought of a heroin addict as someone who lives on the street, dirty, homeless, with track marks up and down their arms. Unfortunately today, this is not the case.

Thousands of handsome young men and women have succumbed to opiate/heroin addiction. Heroin does not discriminate. It doesn't matter if you live on Park Avenue or the park bench. The addictive nature of these drugs is extremely powerful and the road to recover is long, hard, and often not successful.

Cory Monteith is the latest casualty in the heroin epidemic. By the Grace of God, it could be any of our children.

Please take the time to get educated on prescription drugs and their introduction in the middle school years. The age of experimentation is between 10 and 15. Weed and alcohol use starts in middle school and there's always someone who will take the party to the next level by introducing prescription drugs. They share their ADD/ADHD medication, they take it from the home cabinet – and the savvy one's are already hooked up with a dirty doctor and know where to get the pills.

Information is the vaccine for this heroin flu. Get informed. I produced a documentary on the subject that is there educate and arm parents with information.
