    1. An 84-piece Qubits construction set perfect for any aspiring engineers, because it doesn't have instructions or anything you're "supposed" to build β€” so you can completely experiment and use your ~imagination~.

Promising review: "We bought this for our six-year-old grandson. Tiring of Legos! This was a huge hit with him. In fact, a neighbor boy was over for a playdate and they both played with these for hours. They are a wonderful break from iPad app games. They encourage dexterity and imagination. Would give it more stars if I could." β€”lmg

Get it on Amazon for $65.95.

    2. An infinitely-reusable silicone zip bag that'll help them use less plastic every day.

Of course, they're totally dishwasher safe. (I have a couple myself and have used 'em for a couple of years. I run them through the top rack all the time!)

Promising review: "I've tried a LOT of reusable bags as there are a lot of options out there all using a variety of materials. The fabric ones just get gross over time. The vinyl ones are hard to clean and aren't usually dishwasher safe. There are other silicone ones that need a separate rod to close them that you can easily lose. This one is the most simple and easy to use. No separate pieces to lose. Can withstand any temperature/microwave/dishwasher/whatever. And if they get gunky they are very easy to clean and I trust that they aren't hiding gross crumbs in any of the crevices." β€”Megan A.

Get them on Amazon: the snack size for $9.99, the sandwich size for $11.95, or the half-gallon size for $19.99.

    3. A set of two miniature spatulas to stuff an aspiring makeup-artist's stocking, because they make it easy to use each and every drop of primer, foundation, and other products.

    Sarah Han / BuzzFeed, @the_spatty /

Of course it's great for jars of mustard and peanut butter, too! BTW, these do actually work, like, incredibly well β€” here's one BuzzFeeder's review.

Promising review: "So worth it! I'm so happy with it. You will definitely save money using this. I think about how much I could have saved if this was invented 30 years ago. I mostly use it for small makeup jars. I tested out the longer one on a 18oz lotion and it worked fine. Some reviews complain about not being able to get every curve and corner of their container. ..oh please.! You get so much more than you would without it." β€”Liz

Get the set of two β€” one with a 6-inch handle, and another with a 12-inch handle (for different tasks!) β€” on Amazon for $11.70.

    4. The Squatty Potty toilet stool (yup!) because A) it'll be hilarious when they unwrap it and B) it really does align everything in a natural way to make pooping easier and faster.

We know it makes a difference because several BuzzFeeders own and love these β€” read one person's review.

Promising reviews: "Per my husband: "First time I used mine I was like "there's no way the last three inches of that poop would have come out without the Squatty Potty."" β€”m2

"Unbelievable that I've been performing a basic bodily function incorrectly my entire life. This is a wonderful product that is well worth the money. It allows one to adopt a natural, healthy position without giving up a western style toilet. You just have to use it to truly appreciate it." β€”Amazon Customer

Get the seven-inch high stool (for new squatters) or the nine-inch-high stool (for ~advanced~ squatters) for $19.99 on Amazon.

    5. A SmartGurlz coding doll that uses an iPad app to teach beginning programming concepts. Soon your kid will have their doll zooming everywhere on the scooter!

Promising review: "My daughter LOVES this doll. She has shown in interest in coding and this app brought together her love of dolls and technology. Its has been a struggle to find coding toys that are not implicitly marketed to boys. My daughter has some coding programs that she plays around with online but it has been really gratifying to see her make the connection between coding and tangible results that she can see and play with. The cute little scooter comes with a doll but you can also use any standard size doll with it. Don't forget to order the rechargeable battery." β€”sciencemom

Get the doll and scooter for $49.95, and the rechargeable battery pack for $14.99 (both from Amazon, tho the battery's currently backordered).

    6. A racheting leather belt β€” instead of having holes every inch or so, it adjusts to fit their waist exactly every single time., @missionbelt /

Promising review: "Honestly, I had never heard of a ratcheting belt before I ordered this, so I wasn't quite sure of what to expect. But I've had my Mission Belt for about a week now and I love it. The leather feels and looks like a great quality leather. The finish of the buckle looks great. My biggest concern was the how the buckle would function, but that quickly went away with my first use. This is in many ways easier than a classic buckle style. This type of buckle won't stretch or scratch the finish of the leather. I bought this belt specifically to wear with dress pants, but have liked it so much, it has become my "go to" belt." β€”Jbemt

Get the men's belt for $36.95+ (sizes S/28" through Custom/up to 56", many color/buckle combinations) and the women's belt for $36.95 (sizes XS/up to 25" through XL/up to 42", many color/buckle combinations) both on Amazon.

    7. A snug-fit undershirt for anyone who's self-conscious about their sweat β€” it has built-in padding that soaks up sweat before it has even a chance of forming a ring on dress shirts.

Promising review: "I tend to sweat profusely and haven't really found a solution. Figured I could try this but was a bit skeptical. Wore it to work the other day with a dress shirt and during points in the day, I did a spot check. Dry as a bone. This works as advertised.

My body tends to run warm and I was worried that this tight fitting shirt might make me hotter during the day. I did feel slightly warmer but nothing that wasn't manageable. I can see other commenters' points that this can make you sweat closer to the body as the 'shield' somehow soaks up the internal sweat but doesn't pass it to the outside of the tee. BUT, I can say that in my case, that wasn't a problem. The 'shield' is a little bulky and initially, it does feel like you have a pad under your arm. I got used to it after a few hours. TBH, if I have to get used to that feeling for the sake of having dry underarms, that's an easy price to pay." β€”Amazon Customer

Get one on Amazon for $33 (sizes XS-3XL, four colors).

    8. A set of seat gap fillers because there's nothing more frustrating than dropping your phone down the crack of no return for the umpteenth time.

Promising review: "I have to admit, my expectations weren't very high. I thought it was more of a joke when my husband got this for me for Christmas. Little did I realize it would be one of my most favorite gadgets ever! I don't know if I realized just how many things went missing in my seat gap. It has really saved a lot of things from disappearing into that black hole. It was easy enough to fit into my car and it's soft! It's just like an extension of my seat, except it fits every curve of my seat! There really isn't another product that compares to this." β€”Tessa Forbes

Get the pack of two on Amazon for $19.99.

    9. A whole-grain, protein-packed pancake and waffle mix that you can either bake for everyone *or* neatly wrap for your friend who's really into exercising but also loves to bake, because it works as a substitute for flour.

Promising review: "The ingredients are all high quality, simple ingredients with a purpose: not one ingredient went into this product without a ton of thought and consideration to determine if that ingredient was useful, healthy, and will fill you with energy.

Now onto taste: simply put it's amazing. It's not too sweet like most brands, but it isn't bland. It has the perfect balance of oat and wheat, combined to make a truly delicious flavor profile which can be modified in any way you desire. Most pancakes advertised as "healthy" have a very strong wheat flavor that overpowers everything else and makes it taste like wheat bread, but Kodiak Cakes has perfectly balanced this wheat with the oat and made a delicious natural flavor.

Some days I add bananas to make it just a bit sweeter, sometimes I add chocolate chips as a desert-pancake, some times I reduce the milk to make it thicker, and sometimes I add more milk to make crepes. And sometimes I break out an egg (not technically necessary but I love the what it adds) and make super delicious waffles with them! The versatility of these pancakes is truly astounding and so is the fact that they fill me up and keeps me going all morning." β€”Aaron

Get three boxes of flapjack mix on Amazon for $13.44.

    10. A Monkey Mat β€” it folds up into an ultra compact pouch attached to the blanket, so it's ready anytime you need a sheet to sit on.

    Of course, it's machine-washable, too!

Promising review: "We live in Chicago and love walking around the city. On the weekends we would sometimes take a bed sheet with us if we went to the lake. Now that this monkey mat's in my diaper bag we almost use it every single day. We don't need to plan to go to the lake or anythingβ€”it's so easy to find uses for it. Going to the museum? Take a short break in the lawns and spread out on this mat. Trip to the playground? Let the kids play while the adults sit in the grass and lounge on this mat. Indispensable. Just get it. Also, we are glad we got this bigger mat. If you are 2 adults, the smaller mat would be too small." β€”K.G.

Get it on Amazon for $24.99.

    11. A tube of Nerdwax β€” it'll help their glasses stay firmly in pace on their face, instead of continually sliding down their nose all the time.,

Promising review: "MUST DO TIP: There are a lot of complaints about the wax not sticking or going on. You MUST remove all traces of oil from the glasses first. The best way to do this is to use the pre-moistened glasses wipes that you can get from pretty much anywhere. If you don't have those, use water and a dry paper towel. If there is even a small trace of oil, the wax won't go on.

Once the glasses are prepped and cleaned, the wax goes on perfectly, with little effort. I find that it works very well too. My only complaint would be that it doesn't last all day for me, because I have pretty oily skin. But it's still way better than constantly pushing my glasses up all day long!" β€”Pickles

Get a tube on Amazon for $10.99.

    12. Popup cards that don't just say just the right thing β€” they're basically a little gift in and of themselves.,

Promising review: "The cards are ingenious, gorgeous, and of a quality rarely matched in the consumer world. On top of that, the people tending this enterprise are delightful, warm, and make you feel like they care about you as someone far more important than just a person with money to spend. They treat you like someone in search of a thoughtful way to embrace a loved one and are pleased and eager to help. With so much clutter and animus loose in our culture, it was a great treasure to find this small gem of affection." β€”VerbRiver

Get the Christmas Tree Village card for $13, the T-Rex Card for $15, or browse Lovepop's full card selection, all on Amazon.

    13. A set of two magnetic glasses holders so your dad will finally always know exactly where he left his reading glasses.

Promising review: "I can't tell you how many reading glasses I've killed in the past few years, largely from jettisoning them from my breast pocket or hooking them awkwardly in my shirt collar. These clips are amazing. They're discreet enough that I don't look like a goon wearing one on my shirt all day, and when I hang my glasses from them I can tie my shoes without spilling them lens-first on the ground. What else can a fellow ask for?" β€”Phil Selman

Get the set of two on Amazon for $18.99.

    14. A silicone Frywall for the home chef who loves trying new recipes but detests the necessary cleanup afterward β€” they'll be able to easily cook all kinds of food in oil without coating the entire stovetop.

Promising review: "I used my Frywall for the first time tonight to fry sole filets. Worked like a charm. I was surprised by the amount of oil that accumulated on the Frywall. That's grease that would have ordinarily gone onto the stove, counter and wall. It fit nicely in my 10.5-in All Clad saute pan which means it should also work in the All Clad saucepans since the lids are exactly the same. I washed it by hand and left it on the open dishwasher door to dry." β€”ezreader

Get it on Amazon for $21.95 (three colors).

    15. A ~water enhancer~ that apparently optimizes the water (with certain minerals) for brewing the tastiest cup of coffee possible β€” no matter how they brew their morning cup.

Promising review: "Amazing! I've been trying make a nearly prefect cup of coffee at home for a couple years now. I always thought water quality was my issue. Tried a bunch of different bottled waters from Fiji, Evian to Ozarks etc.. my coffee always came out with a little bitter. No more, this product is the solution to bland, bitter coffee. Take your cup to the next level and since I'm a huge nerd, I figured out it only ads about $0.17 cost to your coffee experience." β€”Staci Miller

Get a box of 12 capsules (which makes 12 gallons of water) on Amazon for $14.25.

    16. A silicone wedding band so your S.O. can leave their ring someplace safe while they do whatever, whether they're a busy mom, a mountain climber, a Crossfitter, a hairdresser, or just want a super comfy everyday ring.

Promising review: "Very practical ring. I can wear this ring without it getting in the way or even really noticing it. I wear it in the shower, doing dishes, whatever. I got the white one and so far (approx. 1 month use) no discoloration, which I was worried about. I have an allergy to metal so this was a very good non-traditional solution for my wedding ring. (I still have my nice diamond ring to wear out when I dress up). I am usually a 4 3/4 or 5 ring size; I bought a size 4 and it did stretch slightly as other reviewers mentioned so now it fits like a glove. I was worried that it would feel too tight at first and it would freak me out if I couldn't get it off or it would cut off circulation. None of this happened. It was totally comfortable from day one. Very happy! Definitely recommend!" β€”WWoman6814

Get one on Amazon for $24.99.

    17. A pack of fizzy cleaning tablets for your friend who's always carrying around a giant metal water bottle or coffee mug.

All you do is fill your container with warm water, drop in a tablet (or two, if you're cleaning something bigger than a water bottle), wait half an hour, and rinse. Also, based on the reviews it seems to work best on metal or ceramic, and not so well on plastic.

Promising review: "Be sure to use hot water; it seems to do a lot better job. The first time I used these on a Contigo travel mug I used room-temp water, and it just came out okay. For the next travel mug I used boiling water and the results were terrific. It looks new again. Then I used two cubes (and boiling water) in a large old pressure cooker that had become brown inside from years of making vegetable soups, and I'm amazed how clean it came out. That pressure cooker stain persisted throughout dozens of scrubbing sessions and dishwasher runs, so I figured the Bottle Bright wouldn't help either but it did." β€”MisterPlow

Get a pack of 12 tablets on Amazon for $7.99.

    18. A cute frog pacifier holder to attach to any baby carrier or car seat (with Velcro!) so the "I drop my binkie and you pick it up" game becomes a thing of the past.

Or at least, the frog's the one who does the picking up.

Promising review: "This toy has saved our car rides with my 6-month old! She would cry and cry, lose her Nuk and her toys in her car seat. This offers a great distraction from being away from mom in the back seat. The design is so cute! My one concern might be that the pulley system have a bit more tension to avoid sliding while my daughter has the pacifier in her mouth. It is hardly a problem but I could see how it might be an issue if you had a younger, less strong baby to pull it down and keep it in her mouth. My pediatrician even thought the toy was a great idea at her last checkup! Baby girl loves this thing and it has really helped cease the screaming in the car. Great little toy and very useful for us!" β€”Alisjohns

Get it on Amazon for $17.98+ (also available: cow and monkey versions).

    19. A pupper costume so your bestest furry friend in the whole world can try what it's like to be a panda, lion, bear, or bunny for once in their lives.

(Let's be honest, it's really so you can laugh your butt off as they go running through the house).

Promising review: "Even tho it was a bit tough to get on my 16-week old (seven-pound) squirmy puppy (Size 1), and he wasn't thrilled with running around in it (typical puppy), the photo opp was worth every penny! Lots of folks said it was the cutest thing they had seen in a long time!" β€”Sierra Meadow

Get one on Amazon for $39.99 (four sizes available based on your dog's measurements).
