RE: BuzzFeed APPLICATION: Six Makeup Items You MUST HAVE, All For Under $50

For all my ladies who feel like buying makeup is a complete shot in the dark, here are the six items you need to keep your self on point every day. Oh, and all of it can be bought for under fifty bucks. That's right, all smiles, no guilt.

Every morning when I wake up and check my Instagram, I am bombarded by the copious number of makeup accounts I follow plastering new MUST HAVE products across my feed. Usually these products are some ridiculous pot of gold promising to eliminate the appearance of pores, contour your face to the level of an Angelina Jolie look-alike, and give you that, "glow up", that every random high school girl with some obscene number of followers has been sporting for the last few months. The harsh reality of these ads my friends, is that any twenty-something in the ballpark of typical income for that age is about two tax brackets away from coming close to being able to afford everything pushed at them. This is why I have decided to provide this all my makeup loving ladies and gents with a concise list of what I believe are necessary and affordable makeup products. Ahead of time, you're welcome.

First and foremost, we have every girls best friend and secret keeper, foundation:

In twenty-eight shades and ranging in price from $7.00-10.00, Maybelline's Fit Me Foundation is essential for giving an even, vibrant tone to anyone's face. This miracle product comes in two styles; Matte and Poreless for skin that tends to run on the oily side, and Dewy and Smooth to achieve the fresh, glowing look for skin that needs a little life brought back to it.

Secondly, a bronzer to add some angles into that moon emoji shaped face of your's:

Milani Baked Bronzer priced anywhere from $6.00 to $8.00 is a true life hack in the makeup world. The entire product line runs at a very affordable rate and performs at a designer makeup level. Not only will this powder last throughout your long work day, but also has an amazing finish that, in this makeup addict's mind, combats Mac, Tarte, and any other high priced makeup brand known for the quality finish of their powders.

Next up, the product to provide light coverage and give your makeup the perfect blended look:

Professional Loose Powder by Covergirl. Okay, listen up. This product may seem simple and a little bit lack luster for this list, but I PROMISE you that once you add this product to your makeup regimen, you'll never go back to your cakey, dried out pressed powder again. At a whopping $5.00, this loose powder provides a polished finish over the top of existing makeup, and makes blending powder, (may that be contour powder, blush, etc.), a complete breeze. Give this product a try. And hey if you hate it, it cost less than your Starbucks this morning so, chill out.

Obviously, nobody's brows these days are passable left untouched, so here is the best product for adding body and definition:

Nyx Cosmetics- one of the most under rated makeup brands in the game is slowly making a come up. The Sculpt and Highlight Brow Definer lands at about $10.00 and lasts up to a few months depending on usage. This product finds itself on my list for two reasons: it is unbelievably easy to use and it lasts as long as you need it to. This dual tipped pencil is the perfect size and pigmentation to make your brows beautiful without making them the most noticeable thing on your face. The pencil end applies the perfect amount of color for your brow, and the highlighter end cleans up the lines and gives your brow bone a lift, a great combination.

As we pull the look together, for an eye that pops, this is my most trusted mascara:

As far as cheap mascaras of exceptional quality go, this one is my champion. At $6.00-9.00, L'Oreal's Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Building Mascara achieves the perfect amount of body without being clumpy. This long lasting product looks great with or without liner, shadow, falsies, etc. Designer mascaras generally do give a better finish, but this product has proven time and time again that it can hold its own in today's competitive makeup lineup.

Lastly, the best product you didn't know you needed:

Nyx back at it again with the underrated products! No, but really the Dewy Finish Makeup setting spray will change your life, and for only $8.00. Now I know some of you may be thinking, "Hell no. I'm oily enough as it is, I definitely do not need something to make me shinier", I hear you. My face has the shine of a crystal ball by the middle of my work day but hear me out. This product completely takes the oily look away and instead provides your skin with a nice glow. Not only that, but my makeup stays where I put it throughout my whole day. I cannot leave my house without finishing my makeup with this, and trust me, neither will you.

There you have it folks, six products to keep you looking like the queen you are for under fifty bucks. Once again, you're welcome.
