(Los Angeles, January 29, 2015) Chicago turned Los Angeles based actress Brittani Ebert lands role opposite lead in CW's new hit Jane the Virgin. Season 1, Episode 17: "Chapter Seventeen" is directed by Uta Briesewitz, television: [Orange is the New Black, Hung, The Wire], film: [Bad Teacher, Arthur, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story]. Briesewitz has received a 2014 Nomination, Online Film & Television Award for Best Direction in a Comedy Series for Orange Is the New Black (2013), a 2010 Nomination, Primetime Emmy Awards for Hung (2009, pilot ep), and a 2007 Win, Women in Film Crystal Awards, Vision Award.

Aside from her recurring work on General Hospital, Ebert is ecstatic to return to Primetime since her Criminal Minds' creepy "Rabid" episode, almost a year to the date. Jan. 2014, Ebert booked the latter, the same day of her aunt Cindy's passing of Pancreatic Cancer. "This was no coincidence," Ebert said. "I knew she was with me last week. I'm glad you were with me in those moments Cindy, and I'm proud to make you proud!"
