On Wednesday, police released a surveillance video of three college-aged men — two naked and one in underwear — stealing 60 hamburgers from Doc’s Beach House, a restaurant in southwest Florida.
According to police, the men broke into Doc’s early Sunday and left a trail of red peppers on the beach, which were stolen from the restaurant’s kitchen along with cases of hamburger meat and a pan of bacon. Not surprisingly, general manager Lou Bangert said he’s never witnessed a crime quite like this in the restaurant’s 27-year history.
As of Thursday afternoon, the search for the naked bandits continues, but police are hoping someone recognizes the men from the video and turns them in.
