There were several Hollywood icons in the building during the 2018 Golden Globe Awards. Two of them just so happened to be cinema darling Meryl Streep and music maven Mariah Carey.
And while we got to see all the hilarious moments unfold during the show, the celebrities were creating their own memorable moments off camera. Like this one:
Meryl Streep ended up sitting on Mariah Carey's lap. She stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to explain why.
It all started when Meryl walked back to her chair.
So, she did what anyone would do if someone was sitting in their seat.
Just kidding, Meryl would never. But Mariah quickly and apologetically explained her reasoning for being there in the first place.
For those who don't know, commercial breaks aren't just an excuse for the viewers to use the bathroom — it's also when the celebs get to mix and mingle. But once it's time to film again, they're expected to be in a seat.
Ultimately, it wasn't a problem for The Post star, because she knew just how to fix it.
