Gabrielle Union Advised Steph And Ayesha Curry To Break Up When They Were Younger

"I still might give the same advice."

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade found the perfect way to mesh their love for wine and good conversation by starting an Instagram Live talk show called Wine Down.

And during the most recent episode, the couple chopped it up with fellow NBA star Stephen Curry and his entrepreneur wife Ayesha.

The IG Live included a virtual cook-off between Dwyane and Steph, which their wives judged and then announced a winner.

But that wasn't the only thing that went down in the kitchen! Gabrielle also revealed she once told Steph and Ayesha to break up because she didn't think their relationship would make it.

The info came to light when Dwyane and Gabrielle both jokingly agreed that Gabrielle was "a thot in '98." She laughed and responded, "I was. Listen, I enjoyed my life and that's the exact advice I gave Ayesha and a young Steph."

This all happened at D. Wright's 25th birthday party. "I was like, 'You guys, the likelihood of this working out is very low.'"

"'You should just break up now and have sex with other people.'"

Steph and Ayesha couldn't help but laugh as they relived that conversation all over again. Ayesha remembered Gabrielle saying, "How old are you? Okay…"

Of course, Gabrielle's advice wasn't coming from anywhere malicious, she just thought they should should get a few more life experiences under their belts because they were so young.

Obviously the two didn't listen, because they've been happily married since 2011. Steph and Ayesha, who met at church when they were 14/15 years old, are also the proud parents of three children.

Later on in the video, you can see Dwyane jumping in to apologize for almost ending the Currys. “I apologize on behalf of the Wade family. That’s not who we are anymore."

But it turns out, he was the only one sorry about it, because Gabrielle said she "still might give the same advice."

She went on to applaud the couple for their consistent faith in their religion and their relationship, as well as their will to push the culture forward.

The chat ended with a cheers and laughs.
