Fans Are Rallying Behind Supermodel Christie Brinkley After Her Instagram Post Was Bombarded With Negative Comments About Her Wrinkles

"The Wrinkle Brigade is out in full force in the comment thread!"

Christie Brinkley found herself standing up against internet trolls after she shared a new selfie to Instagram, but her fans had her back.

On Wednesday, Christie posted this selfie and a couple of scenic photos while enjoying some time in the Big Apple.

And unfortunately, it didn't take long for the negative comments to roll in. People online began attacking Christie's looks, writing things like, "Yikes! What happened to aging gracefully?" And, "Oops Christie, too much filler and Botox."

The comments got so bad that Christie went back and updated her caption, with a message to everyone spreading negativity under her post. "Whoa Nelly," Christie wrote. "The Wrinkle Brigade is out in full force in the comment thread!"

"They are the people that scan celebrities pages, hoping to find some cellulite, wrinkles, or anything that they can point to to critique. It must be some form of compensation for some thing they are lacking."

The 69-year-old supermodel added that even when her comments are bombarded with nasty messages, there are still many others that use their time to share kindness.

Christie concluded with this final message for those who were picking apart her photo: "PS, I don’t have hair on my chest, obviously ( I thought!). iphone has a tendency to create weird things in the shadows. But so what if I did?"
