Studio Ghibli Films Worst To Best

This goes by what I have seen personally. Animation, Music, Characters, Story and of course my personal enjoyment.

    16. Tales of Earthsea

Yeah sorry, but no. Every studio has its fair share of duds and this is studio ghiblis.

1 out of 5 stars for Animation

    15. Up on Poppy Hill

Bland. Like vanilla pudding. 1 out of 5 stars for Animation

    14. Ponyo

    Curse you english version!

    13. Arritety

Its just a little too slow at times.

    12. Howls Moving Castle

I don't get why people overrate this one so much. Well I guess its still pretty good. This movie was the first ghibli film that I was slightly underwhelmed by.

    11. Whisper of the Heart

A cute love story that can get too cheesy sometimes.

    10. Pom Poko

Probably one of the funniest ghibli films if not "the".

    9. The Cat Returns

A ghibli film that does not quite feel like a ghibli film. But that is not a bad thing.

    8. Princess Mononoke

Most people would rate this higher, but it came across a little too preachy to me.

    7. The Tale of Princess Kaguya

It really is a really beautiful movie, but is a little too down in the dumps at times.

    6. Nausicca

Yeah its pretty damn good even if it came out before studio ghibli was founded.

    5. Porco Rosso

A weirdly more mature ghibli film. In a good way. 5 out of 5 stars

    4. Spirited Away

Pretty much perfection in the making. The last golden age ghibli film. 5 out of 5 stars

    3. Kiki's Delivary Service

A great film on so many levels. 5 out of 5 stars

    2. My Neighbor Totoro

A movie that speaks to adults and children alike. 5 out of 5 stars

    1. Castle in the Sky

The first official ghibli film that has everything you expect. Imaginative Flying Machines, Environmental Themes, Good Comedy, Outstanding Music, Gorgeous Locations, For Kids, For Adults, Strong Females, Memorable characters and creatures and one of the few ghibli films to have a definite villain. 5 out of 5 stars
