Which Captain Deserves A Promotion?

We have some hard-working Captains that have earned a promotion. Who should we pick?

1. Who is tired of eating Cap'n Crunch?

Introduced back in 1963, the Cap'n has been providing ample amounts of sugar to children every morning as an American breakfast staple. If you're anything like me, then the cereal is also your "cheat food" of choice - now that you're aware of how just carbohydrates do not make "a good breakfast." Regardless, Cap'n Crunch (by US Navy officer promotion standards) should at least be an Admiral by now. Cap'n has been patient for recognition, so let's promote him!

2. Captain America has saved the world! How is he still a Captain?!

Captain America was created back in March, 1941, and was picked up by Marvel in 1964. This World War II Army officer and superhero has been fighting the forces of evil as the leader of the Avengers ever since. US Army officer promotions can be slow (sometimes up to 8 years) but usually speeds up during a time of war. How has Captain America not been promoted? If it is the sweet "Captain America" title, then fine. Let's keep it. But Steve Rogers has been referred to as Captain Rogers...why not Major Rogers or even Colonel Rogers?!? The dude has earned it! #PromotetheCaptain

3. Captain Hook wants a promotion!

Anyone who has seen Peter Pan is familiar with his archenemy, Captain Hook. Having been portrayed by various actors, from Dustin Hoffman to Colin O'Donoghue, the Captain is certainly vain enough to ask for higher title. Try to skip past the soft soap-opera "Once Upon a Time" and remember the fun Hooks!

4. Who doesn't love Captain Morgan?!?

The Puerto Rican-made rum is named after Sir Henry Morgan (1635-1688). He was a privateer, buccaneer, and Admiral in the Royal Navy! It seems that the Captain was demoted when his name-stake was used to produce alcoholic beverages...Let's reinstate Captain Morgan back to his old rank. The man has already earned it!

5. How about Captain Planet?!?

Captain Planet, he's our hero! Gaia (Earth's spirit), sends five magic rings to five teens who become the Planeteers. Surely the good Captain has earned some recognition?
