What's A Line From A Movie Or TV Show That Emotionally Destroyed You?

We want to know a quote that absolutely wrecked you.

Not long after I lost my dad, I watched WandaVision. The show is all about Wanda's grief after she loses her partner, Vision.

There's one particular flashback to a moment between Wanda and Vision where he comforts her after her brother dies. Vision says to her, "What is grief, if not love persevering?"

As you can imagine, when I heard that, I broke down. I had never heard grief explained like that before, and I really needed to hear it. And, despite the internet making fun of it mercilessly on Twitter, I still think about the line pretty often and almost every time I think about my dad.

I feel like almost everyone has had a similar experience — a time in your life where you heard a line from a movie or TV show at just the right moment, and it emotionally destroyed you to the point where you still find yourself thinking about it.

Maybe you watched Stand by Me when you were about to graduate high school, and that last line about friendship hit you...hard.

Perhaps you watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind after a breakup, and when Joel was begging to keep just one memory of Clementine, it hit a little too close to home.

Or, maybe you watched Season 4 of Stranger Things at any ol' time in your life. And when Max said the line, "I can't feel or see anything," you sobbed your eyes out.

If you've had an experience like this, I want to hear about it. In the comments below, tell us a line from a movie or TV show that you still think about because of how emotional it made you. If you want to remain anonymous, you can submit your story using this Google form.

Your experience may be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post!
