On Saturday, March 7th, from 1:00-6:00, First State Robotics will be hosting a STEM expo at the Cab Calloway School of Arts Theater. Need a reason to spend your Saturday afternoon there? Say no more. The following list will make your decision for you.

As the age old saying goes, home is where the robots are. We'll have demonstrations of all levels of robots - from little ones by First Lego League and First Tech Challenge teams to big ones by First Robotics Challenge teams.

Well, not literally. However, numerous companies like Sovereign Air, ILC Dover, and Hologic, Delaware Bio, and more will be present to showcase space suits, 3D printers, and other fancy schmancy gadgets. You won't want to miss it!

3. You get to learn about upcoming STEM initiatives and opportunities

Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout Council, Latin American Community Center, Red Clay School District Summer Camp Program, the Perry Initiative, and more will be present so that you can learn how to get involved in the growing STEM field in Delaware. And, of course, there'll be numerous opportunities to learn more about First State Robotics' many programs!

4. You get to watch an exclusive screening of the "Slingshot" documentary

“Slingshot” is an award-winning film documentary by director Paul Lazarus that focuses on noted Segway inventor Dean Kamen and his work to solve the world’s water crisis. This documentary offers a look into Kamen's life and his revolutionary SlingShot water purification system created to obliterate half of human illness on the planet.
