    The Sixteen Personalities

Do yourself a favor and quiz yourself.

If you haven't already, please consider Googling and taking the 16 Personalities Test (below). I was placed as an ENFP - A (Campaigner). Every personality trait that was listed, resonated with me on a spiritual level.

    E - Extraverted (67%)

    N - Intuitive (64%)

    F - Feeling (81%)

    P - Prospecting (56%)

    A - Assertive (71%)

All of these traits align with the way I perceive the world and the way I experience the world. There are a great many benefits to being an ENFP, but I believe in order for one to improve, one must focus on the weaknesses over the strengths. I've detailed just a few of the weaknesses that I personally have trouble with when interacting with others.

    - Find it Difficult to Focus: "ENFPs are natural explorers of interpersonal connections and philosophy."

I definitely have been having trouble focusing on one complete thought to the next complete thought. My mind works in tangents that branch off into infinite topics of discussion. That is why sometimes the people around me may become frustrated because they have trouble following my train of thought (or trains rather). However, please note that I do not do this on purpose. Instead I love to think out loud and contemplate hypotheticals with my peers. The best advice I can give is for people to keep track of where our conversations are heading and to pull me back whenever I start off on a tangent. Yup, I'm like that teacher or professor that always loves to talk & talk, but never quite getting far into the lesson plan.

    - Overthinking: "They look for underlying motives in even the simplest things."

I trust people not by the words that come our of their mouths, but rather by the subconscious body language that I receive. In just a couple minutes of meeting someone, I can tell if they have had a bad day or if they just have had a long day. I can tell whether they are social or whether they are antisocial. I can tell whether they are safe or whether they mean me harm. The downside of being so intuitive is that I may put words into other people's mouths with me just assuming how they feel based on the body language projected.

    - Get Stressed Easily: "ENFPs are very sensitive ones, and care deeply of others' feelings."

I would not say I get stressed easily. I actually identify more as biting off more than I can chew. I have a silly misconception that I am Superwoman and I can handle everything that gets thrown at me, but the reality is quite the opposite. Yes, I love to help others and listen to everyone's problems. However, I often forget to take care of myself in the process. It's like that safety video airlines play, always put on your own oxygen mask before helping others to their oxygen masks. I do no good for anyone if I am burnt out in the end.

    - Highly Emotional: "ENFPs can experience emotional bursts that are counter-productive at best."

I experience emotions on such a dramatic level that doctors have labeled me as bipolar. There is still stigma with mental health and all the different labels of being "crazy". Although I must say, after learning what my label is, it is now a lot easier for me to process my emotions and to ultimately recover from these last two weeks of insanity. The easiest way I may explain it is I have an extremely logical side and an extremely emotional side that are constantly battling it out in my head. These two "voices" shape how I view the world and how I form my own opinions.

    - Independent to a Fault: "ENFPs want to be seen as highly independent masters of their own fates, even possessors of an altruistic wisdom that goes beyond draconian law."

I do love my independence. I have never had any issues with eating alone. Hell, I've even gone to a club in Vegas alone. As mentioned previously, I often think of myself as Superwoman, and act like I can take on anything. That is why it's a good thing that I have such a wonderful support system that acts as a checks and balances in order for me to stay sane.
