Once upon a time there was a woman named the God Warrior.
The God Warrior didn't believe in "the dark-sided, new age, science, and doctrine."
Gargoyles, psychics, everything was ungodly.
She needed your prayers.
It was a full-blown God test.
Eventually, the God Warrior lost her damn mind.
She went nuclear on her family.
Like, she started screaming about people not being Christians, everything being dark-sided, and she destroyed a check for $50,000 because it was "tainted."
Years later, her legacy lives on in every single BuzzFeed list I make because the God Warrior is somewhat of a legend.
Fast-forward to 2019; the God Warrior was in New York City.
She was being spotted around town. The gays were losing their minds.
WE JUST MET THE GOD WARRIOR IN NYC LMAOOO A WHOLE LEGEND
Coincidentally, it was also Pride weekend.
One of God Warrior's dance students posted a picture of her waving a rainbow flag on Facebook.
Was the God Warrior officially an LGBTQ ally? Was everything still dark-sided? I needed to find out.
So, I did what any God Warrior stan would do: I messaged her and asked her if she loved her gay fans.
And she responded:
In case you didn't know, the God Warrior's daughter, Ashley, tragically passed away in 2007.
The God Warrior wanted her fans to know that she appreciates their outpouring of love. She finds laughter in their impersonations and said "some do me better than I do myself."
She even hopes to be back for next year's Pride festivities.
