Boomers Are Saying The Word "Boomer" Is A "Slur," So The Actual Dictionary Had To Completely Shut Them Down

"Replace the word “Boomer” in your article with ANY minority group using a slur for that group (somehow Boomer has become a slur) and YOU WOULD BE FIRED." WHAT?!

Last week, Taylor Lorenz wrote about how teens have started saying "OK boomer" to clueless older people.

After reading Taylor's piece, I did a simple tweet roundup comparing the two generations.

And boomers lost their damn minds.

I got a bunch of emails from people who were offended, but one email in particular stood out because some person said "Boomer" is a slur for a "minority group."

Replace the word “Boomer” in your article with ANY minority group using a slur for that group (somehow Boomer has become a slur) and YOU WOULD BE FIRED.

    I kid you not.

A slur for a minority group!!!

And this person isn't the only one who thinks like this.

    This person:

And this person said the same thing:

    Whew.

I've never used the white guy blinking GIF, but I can't think of a better time to use it than now.

The literal Dictionary eventually had to get involved to clarify to these people just how wrong they were:

    It's a joke.

Boomers being rude to millennials and Gen Z: yOu’Re So SeNsItIvE Gen Z: Ok boomer Boomers: THEY CALLED ME A -SLUR- I FEEL *dramatic gasp* Attacked! I didn’t provoke this! You need to respect your elders! Do you see the problem???

    It's not that serious.

Go lick your finger and turn the page of a book or something.
