90’s TV fans love both Boy Meets World couple Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence and The Wonder Years cuties Kevin Arnold and Winnie Cooper, but who is the best couple?

While both Cory and Topanga and Kevin and Winnie had their adorable moments, relationship issues, and of course, fair share of break ups, there seems to be one clear winner, and that’s Cory and Topanga.

Although Kevin and Winnie were childhood sweethearts, much like Cory and Topanga, their love was much different.

Kevin Arnold dated a plethora of different girls while growing up, and spent a considerable amount of time apart from Winnie Cooper.

While Cory and Topanga had two major break ups, Cory’s ski lodge hook-up Lauren was really the only other girl he ever had eyes for. So, it seems Cory gets the point for being the most loyal boyfriend.

Now let’s talk about the fights. Cory and Topanga often fought over their relationship and how best to keep their love alive. With the exception of Cory and Topanga’s first married fight, the Boy Meets World dreamboat rarely said anything hurtful to his lady love.

Meanwhile, Kevin and Winnie had some pretty epic fights, including one big one at the end of the series in which they eventually made up from in a barn. (Yeah, we know what they were doing in there!) Kevin would often hurt Winnie’s feelings, and of course feel bad about it later. Another point to Cory Matthews.

The final nail in Kevin and Winnie’s coffin comes in the form of their adult relationship. Cory and Topanga get married and have kids as we well know thanks to the Boy Meets World sequel series Girl Meets World, but things didn’t work out that way for Kevin and Winnie.

Kevin reveals in The Wonder Years series finale that he and Winnie didn’t end up together, and although they stayed in touch he married someone else and fathered her children, which left us all angry. They’d been through so much, why couldn’t they just end up together?

Do you see why Cory and Topanga have to be the clear winner? They never let their love die. They always pushed each other and stood next to one another no matter what, and that’s why we love them so much!

Sorry Kevin Arnold and Winnie Cooper, you just can’t beat Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence in the love department. Nice try though.
