The city of Valparaiso left the Beke family homeless after City employees broke a sewage pipe near their home, resulting in raw sewage being strewn about on the inside.

The city of Valparaiso left the Beke family homeless after City employees broke a sewage pipe near their home, resulting in raw sewage being strewn about on the inside. Mayor Costas' response to the incident was that the City was not to be held responsible for this mess, and to have the Beke family clean their home with bleach. After they scrubbed for three days, they tried to settle back into their home. After a few days his younger brother became very sick and ended up in the hospital for four days. An inspector came to check on their home and deemed it unfit for a family to continue to live there.

This is literally a disgusting display of City politics. The City of Valparaiso needs to step up to the plate and right this wrong, and give this big family their home back in a livable condition.
