This Birth Story Is So Crazy It Can't Be Described In One Headline

A mom was in her car when she gave birth to a baby still in the amniotic sac. Even under NORMAL circumstances, this happens less than once every 80,000 births.

One of the rarest types of birth is when a baby is born “en caul,” or still fully inside the amniotic sac. How rare is it? So rare that it occurs less than once every 80,000 births!

But one Pennsylvania-based family recently upped the improbability by having an “en caul” birth…in their car!

However, before they could reach the hospital, Curry's contractions grew closer together. As Curry’s fiancé, Ean, spoke to 911, Curry pulled her pants off and reached down. “Sure enough his head was right there,” Curry wrote. “I pushed one time and my miracle baby was here.”

As if seeing your baby born still in the amniotic sac — while in your car! — wasn't unsettling enough, the family was still seven minutes away from the hospital.

"I was so scared," Curry wrote. "At first the baby was still and all I could do was pray he would be okay. And then I rubbed his face with my thumb and he pulled his little hands and feet up to his face." Upon arriving at the hospital a "familiar face came running out and grabbed my baby."

The baby — named Ean Jr. after his dad — was successfully transported to the NICU where he weighed in at 3 pounds, one ounce.

Little Ean Jr. is still in the NICU, but "is making such great progress!" according to an update by Curry on Instagram.

A word to the wise: If people are trading birth stories, and you see Raelin in the crowd, make sure to tell your story BEFORE hers, m'kay?
