    These Embarrassing Stories Of People Using The Wrong Word Are So Cringey

    Jenny Lawson, aka The Bloggess, is a popular blogger, New York Times best-selling author, and Twitter favorite.

    Recently, Lawson tweeted this story about a very confused mom:

    Very frustrated lady next to me at Gamestop: "My son Kevin wants Fork Knife for his birthday but no place has it in stock." me: I think it's Fortnite. Her: No. It's definitely Fork Knife. Sorry Kevin. I tried.

    It wasn't long before Lawson's followers were tweeting their own stories about people who didn't quite have the right word or phrase, and the result was a stream of cringingly awkward hilarity:
