Moms, It's Time We Had An Intervention About All The Letter Boards

    1. Moms, we need to talk.

    2. What is the deal with all the letter boards?

    3. A few years ago I don't think I knew even one mom who had a letter board (let alone posted messages on it to Instagram).

    4. But now...

    5. ...all of a sudden...

    6. They're everywhere!

    7. I mean, my wife even has one!

    8. What happened exactly? Did you all get together at some secret mom convention and decide to go out and buy letter boards, like, immediately?

    9. I mean, the letter board craze has even caught on in other countries!

    10. It's hard to pinpoint when it all started, but the first Instagram post tagged #LetterBoardMom is from October 1, 2017.

    11. Now moms were already going gaga for letter boards before that, of course (IRL and on Instagram), but it's an interesting data point at least!

    12. Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing anyone who is having fun with these letter boards.

    13. I've definitely laughed at a bunch of these.

    14. And I've appreciated seeing moms make statements on important issues.

    15. And offer support to other moms.

    16. Even if I do, ahem, see a bunch of these letter board photos every time I log onto Instagram.

    17. But seriously, moms, what's the deal with the letter boards?!

    18. You can tell me, I won't tell anyone! I promise!
