Parents, Tell Us What You Accomplished AFTER You Had Kids

Because life doesn't end just because you have a kid.

At some point, you’ve probably heard someone say: "Life is over once you have kids." And sometimes, when you’re exhausted and overwhelmed, you may even wonder if they’re right.

But the truth is — while being a parent IS exhausting and time-consuming — your life is far from over once you become a “mom” or “dad.”

In fact, many people go on to accomplish great things after having kids — often because of their kids. Take J.K. Rowling, for example, who was a single mom when she wrote and published Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

But you don’t have to be J.K. freaking Rowling to accomplish something! This mom went back to college 30+ years after dropping out and graduated — the same year as her daughter.

Shout out to us man , My mom graduates from Norfolk State after dropping out over 30 years ago and I'm graduating from William and Mary 🙏🏾 https://t.co/Q2Qx0zSPo7

And this dad was inspired by his kids to get fit when he couldn't keep up with them on a hike.

So, we want to know about the things you — or a parent you’re proud of — accomplished after having kids. Tell us in the Dropbox below (feel free to include a photo too) and you could be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post!
