A Digital Artist Used AI To Show Us What The Actors In The Running To Be The Next James Bond Would Look Like In The Role

Bond...the British Secret (Artificial) Intelligence agent.

We'd like to reintroduce you to Alper Yesiltas, the incredible digital photographer/artist who uses AI to create some wildly creative stuff...like this portrait of baseball legend Babe Ruth as a modern day man.

Previously, we covered his stunning photo series "As If It Never Happened," which imagined what celebrities who died young would look like today — like Diana, Princess of Wales who we lost in a car accident in 1997 at the age of 36. Here's Diana then:

And here's what a 61-year-old Diana might look like today:

The series also included Heath Ledger, who died of acute intoxication from a combination of prescription drugs in 2008 at age 28. Here's Heath then:

Another incredible photo series Alper created imagined what living celebrities — like Emma Stone — might look like decades from now. Here's Emma as you know her:

The series also imagined Justin Bieber many years from now. Here's Justin as you know him:

Alper's latest project is something completely different. In the wake of Daniel Craig retiring as James Bond — and Bond producers Albert R. Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson confirming they are looking for a new actor to play the role — Alper used AI to show us what some of the most talked about potential replacements might look like as 007.

First, Alper — who has seen all the Bond movies and first became a fan during the Pierce Brosnan era — imagined what Tom Hiddleston would look like as 007.

He also imagined what Aaron Taylor-Johnson would look like saying he prefers his martinis "shaken, not stirred."

Here's Idris Elba as Bond...something many fans have long hoped would become a reality.

And here's Kingsman series star Taron Egerton as the legendary British Secret Service agent.

How about a Game of Thrones alum as Bond? Here's Richard Madden.

Here's another fan favorite choice for the next "Bond, James Bond"... Tom Hardy.

And here's Superman star Henry Cavill, who is rumored to be on the shortlist to be the next Bond.

How about a slightly more off-the-radar casting idea? Here is James Norton from Happy Valley.

And here's Lucien Laviscount — recently seen in Emily in Paris — as another suave option.

Here's Crazy Rich Asians/Snake Eyes star Henry Golding as the M16 intelligence agent.

And here's Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page, who would definitely cut an impressive figure as ol' JB.

As for who Alper would like to see be the next Bond? "I would like the actor who will play the role of Bond to be the actor who can play the role the longest." His prediction, though, is that the role will go to a younger, less household name. "I have a strong feeling that James Norton or Lucien Laviscount will be the next Bond."

So...who do you think would make the best new Bond?
