If you came of age during the ‘90s, there was no shortage of movies that made something stir inside of your young body.
For example, you might have been all kid when you went to see 10 Things I Hate About You, but the movie — and especially Heath Ledger — made you want to be older reaaaaal bad.
Of course, Titanic made you wish you could sketch Kate — or be sketched by Leo — and what were you feeling? Romantic yearning? Whoa!
The mere existence of Jennifer Lopez was probably too much for any youth, but you didn’t stand a chance when you went to Selena and she peeled off her jacket to reveal a beaded bra onstage. And then all that forbidden romance stuff with her guitarist? You. Were. Changed.
Then there were Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix sharing the same motorcycle in My Own Private Idaho. It was like a switch had been turned on.
Even an innocent kid’s movie like Casper could have done the trick, especially when Devan Sawa turned into a human boy and slow danced with Christina Ricci. If your parents had any idea what was happening to you next to them in the theater!
Whatever movie it was that changed you forever, we want to hear it! Tell us the movie and how/why it awakened you in the Dropbox below and it could be in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post!
