Okay, now that we've ditched all the kid haters, let's keep it real. I get why they think they hate kids. Kids can frustrate the heck out of you. They throw tantrums...
They have blowout diapers as babies and then graduate into doing other gross things as they get older...
It's almost impossible to get them to clean their rooms...
And yeah, they make you watch awful kids' shows...
Also — sorry, one more — they don't really let you sleep.
But.

How can they possibly hate kids? Like, what kind of monster could hate a face like this?

My daughter was chasing my son around with a lightsaber and got a little too into it.....
If you have kids — or just spend a lot of time around them — you will laugh more than you ever have in your entire life. And that's a good thing.

Even when they do things you wish they'd rather not — like interrupt your live TV interview, yikes — you have to laugh. I mean, look at this little girl strut into the room! 😂 How can you NOT love her?

And then kids are so stinkin' pure. Look how happy this little girl is about her...stick. Yup, she found a stick and loves it, lol. Kids are totally free of cynicism.

Kids have big hearts, too, that are full of love and yet to be tainted by all the hate and other crap in the world.

Kids see the best in you (“My mom/dad is my hero!”) and they don’t hold grudges. Like, look below at what this sweet little brother did.
And honestly? They look at the world in a way we would be smart to emulate. Because somewhere along the line our brains stop thinking that doing things like having a purse full of Cheetos in public is a good idea...and it's a really good idea!

But kids aren’t just awesome because of what they do. They’re also awesome because of how they affect you. All of the sacrifices, frustrations, and responsibilities mold you into a more resilient, mature, and compassionate person than you were before.
So if people want to keep saying they hate kids, that's their thing. But we know that life with kids is pretty damn special.
