The New Parenting Trend Is To Name Your Baby After "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" Characters

    Sadly, no one is naming their baby Chewbacca.

    Babycenter is known for keeping tabs on baby name trends, and now that the first quarter of 2016 is over they've noticed something very interesting — character names from Star Wars: The Force Awakens are suddenly very popular.

    Among boy's names "Han" has seen a modest boost, up from being ranked #4,452 in 2015 to #3,392 this year.

    "Leia" has long been a fairly popular girl's name, but in the early going of 2016 it zipped all the way up to #212 from #361 in 2015.

    Even that patricide committing baddie "Kylo" has seen a shocking boost — from #3,774 in 2015 to #1,165 this year.

    But "Rey" saw the biggest change, jumping more than 11,000 spaces all the way up to #2,784 — that's an increase of 82%!

    Strangely, "Finn" and "Poe," two cool names belonging to cool characters, have been unaffected by this round of Star Wars mania.
