If the results in Group G stand, with Portugal 1-1 Ghana and Germany 1-0 USA, the U.S. and Germany would advance.

Germany is sending a lot of guys forward early in the second half. The Germans don't appear content to play for the tie.

Great defending again by Omar Gonzalez. He's doing everything for the U.S. on defense today.

In the other Group G match, Portugal goes up 1-0 on Ghana with this own goal. A very good thing for the U.S. If the results hold, the U.S. and Germany would both advance.

HUGE save by Tim Howard for the U.S. Germany is pressuring and it is working. Couple decent chances already. U.S. need to find a way to keep possession.
