YouTube channel "What's Inside?" recently uploaded a video cutting into a dead rattlesnake's rattle to see what causes the sound.
Lincoln and Dan purchased a rattle from Texas on eBay with the sole purpose of seeing what was inside.
Upon cutting through the hard exterior they found that there's actually nothing inside of the rattle.
Instead the rattle is composed of a shell within a shell which creates noise when shaken.
Turns out a rattlesnake is much less like a maraca than we thought.
