Here's What Anthony Bourdain Thinks Of The Unicorn Frappuccino

He didn't hold back.

This week, Starbucks released its take on the unicorn food trend: the Unicorn Frappuccino.

And if you got the chance to try it, you either loved it or hated it.

The latest person to weigh in on the drink? Professional chef and food adventurer Anthony Bourdain. And he didn't hold back.

"[It's] like four things I hate all in one sentence: Starbucks, unicorns, and the colors pink and purple," he said, in a recent interview with Town & Country.

He went on to say, "Also a Frappuccino! It’s the perfect nexus of awfulness. Just add pumpkin spice to that mix, and you can nuke the whole county.”

In the same interview, he also clarified his thoughts on other food trends:

As far as hipster foods that need to go, Bourdain called out Kobe sliders as a "societal ill."

He's also not a huge fan of the combo of drinking booze + giving ~tasting notes~.

Ultimately though, Bourdain praised the current food climate, adding that, "In general, I think we’re eating better than in any time in dining history. We’re eating more adventurously."
