"I love Malaysian roti canai! It's crispy on the outside yet so fluffy on the inside. I prefer to eat it on its own, but a complete roti canai is served with variants of curry (such as dhal, chicken, etc) as well as a dollop of sambal. There are also sweet variants of roti canai, such as roti tissue and roti milo, and these are served with condensed milk instead of the usual accessories." —Moe Nina, Facebook

"It's a street food, a breakfast, a staple. It’s sort of like Pho, but is traditionally served in Hainan, China. At breakfast, you put in the vermicelli in the simmering soup, and when it’s cooked to al dente, you pour a nice ladle of clear conch soup or a signature brown gravy. Then, you add all kinds of toppings: cilantro, pickled greens, roast peanuts, bamboo slices, roasted sesame, bean sprouts, garlic, chopped green onion, or marinated pork or beef." —itsamazingracias
