I'm always nervous at family gatherings for very good reasons
My relatives always give me the third degree about my love life or the lack of it
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
"How are you still single?"
"Are you a lesbian?"
"Even your younger cousin has a serious boyfriend."
"You're not getting any younger. Maybe lower your standards?"
"Don't you want to get married and have kids?"
"You look a little fat. Maybe if you lose some weight guys will find you more attractive?"
"Have you considered blind dates? I know this nice boy..."
"When I was your age I was already pregnant with my second baby..."
I look over to my cousins for help and they're like,
And I'm like,
They finally lose interest in me and move on to their next prey and I'm like,
I sit back and watch my other single cousins suffer through the same thing I had to go through
But all my single cousins are male so they get a different treatment
"Take your time. Good girls are hard to find and you have to focus on your career..."
The night finally ends and I can go home and have a peace of mind
