10 Reasons We Love Callie Torres

In case you haven't heard by now, Callie Torres is officially leaving Grey's Anatomy. Here's just 10 reasons to mourn her...

1. She's badass

This is one woman you never want to get on the wrong side of. She taught us how to stand in our power!

2. She doesn't let her sexuality define her

First she was straight, then she was bi. So what? Callie is still Callie and it doesn't matter who she sleeps with and we loved that she stood up for herself when everyone else was telling her to pick a side!

3. She fully embraces her Bridget Jones

We saw her post-George, post-Arizona (the first time) and post-Arizona Take 2 but she's never afraid to give love another chance (enter: Penny). We've seen her cut off all her hair, get through an entire tissue box and finally learn to put herself first!

4. She Dances in Her Underwear

This is Callie Torres at her best! It was the best life lesson for us all when Meredith asks if she's ok and she replies "No, I don't dance in my underwear anymore"... We all need to be dancing in your underwear, and if another person makes us stop, then they need to leave. Even if that other person, is your boss.

5. She's self-aware

Yes, she's not perfect. But that is exactly why we love her! She's not afraid to make fun of herself because she knows what she is and what she isn't and doesn't let anyone else dictate that for her!

6. She's honest

She says all the things we wish someone else would say. If you didn't want a Callie in your life before, after this magic line, you definitely did!

7. She will put an end to your pity party

If you aren't snapping out of it, Dr Torres will make sure you do! Pity parties are banned in her prescence because if she can go through cheating, divorces and deaths - so can you!

8. She's the best friend

She'll look after your babies, she'll be that shoulder to cry on. Anything you need, she will be there!

9. She's got skills

10. She always speaks the truth

If anyone knows how to drop the mic, it's Dr Callie Torres. She delivers her truth bombs unexpectedly, leaving you shell-shocked and deeply contemplating your life.
