Six Degrees Of Joan Rivers

There's a saying that everybody is connected through 6 degrees of separation. Joan Rivers was my favorite celebrity and inspiration. She's also related to me in closer ways than I initially thought. Heck she's part of the family. Where is the Joan in your life?

Six Degrees Of Joan Rivers

1) Joan went to Barnard and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. My mom went to Barnard and graduated...well not Phi Beta Kappa but she passed and that's all that counts.

2) Joan went against the grain: Unapologetic, funny, and resilient. My grandma went against the grain: 3 jobs, yardmen, and a husband who was broke -AS HELL!

3) Joan was 5 foot 2. My entire family is 5 foot 2.

4) Joan Rivers father, Meyer Molinsky, was a doctor. My dad is a doctor.

5) Joan could not cook. Taco Bell "demoted" me.

6) Joan Rivers is a survivor and if she can get through life and persevere, so can we!!!
